NEP was born because the founders (Dr. Vishal Marwah and Dt. Tehzeeb Lalani) saw a dire need to empower brilliantly educated Nutritionists and Dietitians with the confidence, skills and resources to establish their own practice. Nutrition colleges train Nutritionists primarily in the science of nutrition, but not in the art and business. It is painful to see highly educated nutritionists being rewarded with gruesome work hours and meagre salaries. Career options are limited. NEP is addressing this challenge by training nutritionists to be successful entrepreneurs or what we like to call them - Nutripreneurs.

NEP is an organisation which aims to empower Dieticians and Nutritionists via experiential programs, workshops and webinars. Our goal is to provide the community with the skills, resources and tools to build, sustain and grow their nutrition practice. The objective of the organization is to acquaint Nutritionists with the practical skills they haven’t learnt in college but are essential to flourish as a successful professional.

The basic eligibility criteria for all of our programs is: ● A BS or MS in Nutrition/Dietetics/Food science from an accredited university ● A passion to succeed ● An entrepreneurial mindset ● A kind and empathetic personality There is a 4-step application process for our flagship course. Our Freedom Webinar series, Masterclasses and other programs are open to anyone who meets the criteria listed above and are eager and willing to learn.

Yes, we have had fellows in the past who have juggled full-time jobs, family and home responsibilities and the flagship course and excellent in each of the areas. A full-time job is not a barrier. However, for the flagship program, you may need to take consent from your supervisor/boss to log in slightly late to work one day/week when we have our live webinars (we aim to finish up before 9:00 am but we may run slightly over :)

No, NEP is for those looking to break out of the 9-5 job rut and create innovative program offerings. We don’t offer job placements. However, we have an extensive alumni network and opportunities to take on clients, offer workshops etc. may come up for you.
